The Client
A Bulgarian telecommunications giant, the client has been active for close to 25 years and has a rich product portfolio including mobile phone services, data carriage, interactive television, Internet services, cable television and hybrid solutions geared towards local business and end consumers alike. With 3000 employees on the territory of Bulgaria, the client rivals global telecommunications companies with their reach and quality of service.
The Situation
As a prerequisite to longevity on the ever-changing telecommunications landscape, the client looks to expand their product and service portfolios as well as improve on user experience. A direct result of this decision leads to new quality requirements along with increase in the sheer number of devices and software solutions made available to their customers. Quality House is called upon to enter a long-term partnership to work on their entire portfolio from service management and CRM to system maintenance and billing systems.
The Challenge
Challenges, when it comes to long-term projects without any final delivery date in sight, are a multitude, diverse and arise with every new assignment during the partnership. One example concerns performing testing on devices, whose performance has been tested only locally. Due to the then-used tracking method, Quality House operatives experienced difficulties obtaining real-time data.
Overall, communication stood out as the chief challenge as the partnership involves numerous teams and links in the supply chain. Quality House had to establish communication channels anew with every new assignment. What further complicated our involvement had to do with poor inter-departmental cooperation, which lead to encapsulated teams with no unified vision, and poor work practices.

The Objective
Each assignment came with its own specific objective pertaining to testing and performance, but overall Quality House functioned as a partner in nurturing the company to grow. Our team not only ran test scenarios relying on high-end tools and good practice, but also participated in the client’s work process. This involved doing analyses, attending meetings, presenting clever solutions and working with the client towards a brighter tomorrow.
The Solution
As stated above, Quality House served as an overseer to elevate the client and we involved ourselves in the daily activities concerning software development. Assigned team members gave technical advice to boost overall performance, all according to the latest best practices in the field of software engineering. This allowed us to cut down on testing later on.
Quality House also allocated staff and resources to combat current software applications and devices to bring up to the client’s requirements and expectation. This is an ongoing process and involves the QA team to analyze every individual development from the moment of its creation to its entry into production. To this end, Quality House has to be flexible in the face of each new assignment. Operatives wrote manual and automated test cases, prepared valid test data, set up test environments and after completing a test case scenario, compiled lengthy reports.

The Conclusion
The project has no set final date and has been running for 4 years, which is an unconditional and convincing testament to the proficiency and skill demonstrated by Quality House during the years. The client continues to rely on us to provide the most modern and actualized testing methods and deliver a successful architectural migration from their company infrastructure of over 25 software systems to a cutting-edge, improved architecture. We’ve participated in the development and release of over 100 new products and have developed a steady automation framework.
